The purpose of this blog is to think of ways toward peaceful and harmonious unification of Korean Peninsula, including the roles and positions of the USA and South Korea.
Even though South and North Korea share the same root and use the common language, differences in cultures including daily expressions, tastes of outfits, music and movies have been getting bigger and bigger since Korea's division in 1948.

What do the farming villages in North Korea look like
What do the farming villages in North Korea look like?
I think the farming villages in North Korea look like that of South Korea in the 1960s and 1970s.
Pyongyang looks very similar to Seoul, but the farming villages in North Korea has not yet developed much.
After the unification of two Koreas a lot of money must be spent on the developmnt of infrastructure in North Korea.

West Germany did not want escapers from East Germany to blame for East Germany
West Germany did not want escapers from East Germany to blame for East Germany
Why?
Because the goverment of West Germany wanted to continue cooperation with the East Germany.
Those who escpated from East Germany did not speak badly of the East Germany.
West Gemany purchased 35,000 political refugees from East Germay since 1963 until 1989.
They call it Faikauft system.
Accoridng to Farikauft system, West Germany spent almost 4 billion Mark.
West Germany paid almost 50,000 to 60,000 dollars to purchase one refugee.
Is it possible for South Korea to purchase those who want to escape from North Korea and live in South Korea?
Fraikauft System can not be applied to Korea.
Why?
Those who escaped from North Korea continue to blame North Korea.
Is it possible for those who escaped from North Korea to stop speaking badly of North Korea?
I think it is not possible.
Blaming each other makes communication difficult.
If two Koreas want to communicate, then they should stop blaming each other first.
Two Koras shoud learn a lesson from Germany and learn how to communicte each other.

Do not be afraid of the Unification with North Korea
Some people of unification with North Korea.
Why do they afraid of North Korea.
If the country is not strong, it is afraid of cooperation and communication.
South Korea is stonger than North Korea so that South Korea should not be afraid of the unification with North Korea.
For example, more than 40 % of GDP of Taiwan depends on China.

Many people in Taiwan do not want unification nor independence. They like Taiwan as it is.
Unemployment in Taiwan increases because many companies in Taiwan moved to the main land of China.
In 2014 university students in Taiwan disagree with the service contract between Taiwan and China and requested Taiwan Governemnt to slow down the speed of relationship with Taiwan and China.
The recent happening in Korea gives some lesson to Korea.
The procedures o Korean unification is not simple.
Minitary power of South Korea is bigger than that of North Korea.
Economic ability of South Korea is better than that of Norh Korea, but South Korea is afraid of the Unification of two Koreas.

People in South Korea believes North Korea will fall down, but South Koreans are afraid of the Unification with North Korea.
It sounds vrery unreasonable.
Korea should consider viewpoints from the world.
The strong should not close the door between the weak.
Why should the strong be afraid of the weak.
The power of democracy is much more stronger.

Support to North Korea has made some changes in North Korea
Support to North Korea has made some changes in North Korea
The present North Korea is not what it was when South Korea started supporting 20 years ago.
The concept of "Market" and "Money" has a great influence on North Korea.
Many people in North Korea use cellular phones as a common communication method.
The number of mobile phones has increased.
In the city of Pyongyang the middle class has formed.
The way of thinking of the young people in Pyongyang is totally different from it was.
http://www.newstomato.com/ReadNews.aspx?no=598141
At that time Russia collapsed and North Korea suffered flood.
North Korea lost the market in the Eastern Europe.
China began to request the market price of petroleum.

Unification with North Korea must be considered as a procedure not the result
Unification between South Korea and North Korea must be considered as a procedure not the result.
Even after Germany was unified, Germany still suffered from many economical and social problems.
The unification of Korea is not the result and it mut be considered a procedure.
The unification is not an event.
Korea must be well prepared for the abrupt unification of Koreas.

Is gradual unification better than abrupt unification of two Koreas?
Some people say gradual unification is better than abrupt unification of two Koreas.
Is it true?
Gradual unification is the expression of the people who are afraid of the unification of two Koreas.
If Korea follows the way how Germany unified, then Korea will be in jeopardy.
Korea will not bear the financial burden.
People in North Korea has the right to vote, then two Koreas will be in severe economic poblems.
Foreign investment meoney will leave Korea.
What South Korea should do?
If South Korea choose gradual unification, South Korea will lose a good chance to be unified with North Korea.
South Korea should be confident in the unification.
Unification is the matter of value in life and in the country.
People should not look at unification only from the economic point of view.
Some people say abrupt unification will bright jeopardy to two Koreas.
Unification is not the matter of choice.
Unification is a must.
Unification of two Koreas will be easier than that of Germany.

What should Korea learn from the Unification of Germany
What should Korea learn from the Unification of Germany
There are benefits and costs in the unification of countries.
Germany did not prepare much for the unification.
Is it true?
Even though some people insist Germany did not prepare for the unification, they could visit each other and they could send postal mails to each other.
In Korean peninsula South Korean can not visit North Korea without approval of each government.
I think communication bridge between West German and East German existed and it is also a good preparation for the unification.
http://www.yonhapmidas.com/article/151114142746_644728
Germany suffered economic difficulties because Germany did not prepare for the unification.
Some people said it is a tragedy without preparation.
But year after year Germany improved its economic power and the strong points from the unification had a good influence on Germany.
The unemployment rate was high in the beginning of the unificaton of Germany?
Why?
I think a lot of people from East Germany must have come into West Germany.
Maybe the average of enemployment rate decreased because a lot of factory in the East Germany closed its business.
All the people in Germany are satisfied with the unification?
No.
About 53 percetage of East Germany think there is a big gap between East Germany and West Germany.
I think this gap would happen to Korean, too.
What should Koreans do to get rid of this future gap?
I think there must be a lot of jobs for North Koreans.
Korea should make a comple preparation for the unifiction.
Two Koreas should be cooperative in economic exchange, social and cultural exchange.

The population of Germany is bigger than that of France, Italy, Great Britian, Spain.
How many people will be if two Koreas are unified?
I think about 55 Million people live in South Korea.
In North Korea 25 million people live in North Korea so that after the unification Korea can have big manpower of 80 million people that is almost the same as Germany.
As of 2014, there are 80.8 people in Germany.

In order to unify two Koreas, Korea should be cooperative with America, China, Japan, and Russia.
Japan is afraid of Korea's increased national power and economic development because Korea do not have to spend more money in the military defense after the unification of Korea.
China will lose political and military neutral zone between South Korea and US military forces.
China is afraid of a lot of refugees from North Korea to China.
I can not understand why China think many people in North Korea will go to China instread of South Korea.
