North Koreans flee to South Korea not because of poverty but because of freedom.
According to the survey conducted before 2001, 19 percentage of respondents answered that they chose South Korea because of the poverty in North Korea.
The survey in 2014 reveals that 55.9 percentage of North Korean refugees answered they wanted freedom.
