Save North Korean Refugees Day

This Friday, September 22nd

At least spare a thought for the North Korean people and the refugees hiding in china.

the article below mentions a family of five North Koreans who chose to take their lives after being discovered in china and held in preparation for deportation back to North Korea.
this alone should tell you what the so called North Korean leadership is all about when people are so afraid of what awaits them on return to their homeland.

i've been reading that kim jong un is really cracking down on cell phone use and defections but i think his days are numbered.

lots of informative reading in this article and links to other articles.

Here is a good reason to care about the average North Korean..

 orphan begging at a market
starving girl gathering grass to sell to buy food. she died shortly after this footage was taken.
starving north korean kids probably taken back in the early 2000's but still happening today.

and this is what they can become if given a chance

Yeomni Park. escaped north Korea in 2009. now a human rights activist.

Eunsun Kim. now living in Seoul and advocating for north Koreans. showing south Koreans that she is up to the task.

Joseph Kim. escaped to the united states and advocates for the plight of north Koreans.

Jinhye (far left) and Grace Jo (far right). escaped to the united states in 2008 and now raise awarness for north Korean human rights and help north Korean refugees to get out of china and help resettle if they make it to the united states.
here is their story:
