The purpose of this blog is to think of ways toward peaceful and harmonious unification of Korean Peninsula, including the roles and positions of the USA and South Korea.
Even though South and North Korea share the same root and use the common language, differences in cultures including daily expressions, tastes of outfits, music and movies have been getting bigger and bigger since Korea's division in 1948.

What America do with Cuba can be applied to North Korea
Cuba was enemy with America for about 50 years.
What is happing between Cuba and America would be applied to the relationship with Amrica and North Korea.
There is no forever enemy in the world.
I hope North Korea take a good look at the present situation between America and Cuba.

Looking for scholars at Top 58 universities of Vietnam
I am looking for some scholars who can answer my questions about the Unificaiton of vietnam, the effect of the Vietnam Unification.
I want to learn some lessones from the Unificiton of Vietnam.
It is not easy to locate them because most scholars in Vietnam do not use gmail or hotmail.
It looks like their emails are screend by the government.
Is there anyone who can give me some good pieces of advice to the following questions?
1. What did Vietnam prepared for the unification of Vietnam.
2. What kinds of economical or sociological changes have been made after the unification of Vietnem.
3. What is their advice for the successful unification of two Koreas?
It would be much appreicated if you could send me any advice to me at usandnorth@gmail.com
You can introduce me some scholars who can answer my questions.

How long can Hong Kong be called a city state of freedom
Hong Kong's government does not represent people in Hong Kong, as the government wants to keep good relationship with the mainland of China.
The economy is getting worse and worse since Hong Kong's return to China.
People stuggle to keep the freedom of speech and democracy.
Hong Kong looks like a person who wears a pair of pants whith one side is short and the other side is long.
Some part of Hong Kong looks like democratic society but some part of Hong Kong resembles China.
I wonder how long Hong Kong can be called a city state of Freedom.

Hong Kong wants free election
When Hong Kong was handed over to China, China agreed to the free election in Hong Kong, but China does not keep the promise with the Britain.
What the Britian do about this matter?
Nothing because Britian is powerless to stop China from backtracking on the promise of free election.
I think promise between countries can be broken for the sake of their benefits.
The political system is more important than the promise.

What happend after Hong Kong returned to China
What happend after Hong Kong returned to China?
Personal liberty remain protected in Hong Kong.
There has been some changes in the life of Hong Kong residents.
A lot of pregnant women came into Hong Kong from China to give birth and get residency rights.
A number of big cars came into Hong Kong from China and clogged up the roads.
Access to information had been limited.
China's economy affected Hong Kong's economy.
What would happen to Korea after the unification?

Lesson from the military conflicts and a civil war after the unification of Yemen
Lesson from the military conflicts after the peaceful unification of Yemen
Yemen was unified on the 22nd of May, 1990.
After the unification of Yemen, there was a military conflict as well as a civil war between Southern Army and Northern Army.
4 years after the unification of Yemen, there was a civil war.
During the civil war, 7,000 people died and 15,00 people were wounded.
What should two Koreas learn from this accident?
I am afraid the similar accident might happened to Korea even after the unification of two Koreas.
I think how to keep harmony between the North Korean Army and South Korean Army is a big problem after Korea's unification.
Is there a good solution?

Can two Koreas can be unified in one country even after the unification of Korean peninsular
Even after Yemen is unified, the land of Yemen is divided into two parts.
Yemen gives Korea a good lesson.
"Before the Yemeni unification, Yemen was one people in two states, but after the unification Yemen became two people in one states."
The above mentioned statement is very impressive.
I think Korea will be someday unified.
I wonder if Korea can be unified in one country after the unification of Korea?
These days South Korea is still divided into two parts; Southwestern part, Honam, and Southeastern part, Youngnam.
I wonder if Vietnam is suffering from the similar problems.

How many American diplomats are working around the world?
How many American diplomats are working around the world?
As of 2008, about 11,000 diplomats worked for USA around the world.
In 2015 I presume more than 11,000 diplomats might work.
How many embassies and general consulate are there in the world?
About 307.
How many diplomats are working in each embassy or general consulate?
About 30 to 40?
But there are many diplomats working in the main land of USA.
So I think about 20 to 30 diplomats are working in each embassy or general consulates.

North Korea will start graduate schools from 2016
North Korea will start graduate schools from 2016.
I think more educational exchange between North Korea and other countries are possible thank to this new start.
I think scholars in South Korea also have something to learn from those scholars in North Korea.
I hope student exchange programs will be possible in the near future.
It is a good piece of news.
Education is the first step to open eyes to newknowledge as well as to the world.

Even after reunification of Vietnam unequal wealth is the main problem
I do not think North Vietnam want unequal wealth between people in Vietnam, but Vietnam government still fight against the poverty.
USA also has the problem of poverty.
What is the difference between USA and Vietnam.about the poverty?
Some rich Americans donate their money to the poor.
I wonder rich Vietnamese also donate their money to the poor.

The last moment of Vietnam Reunification in 1975 was a great joy for North Vietnam people, but it was a horror and anger to some South Vietnam people.
Only 1,250 Americans remained when the South Vietnam fell to the People's Army of Vietnam.
I presume most Americans knew what would happened when US Forces withdrew.
What would happened to two Koreas on the day when the countries are unified.

Young people in South Vietnam was not so desperate toward the reunification
Without US South Vietnam was too weak.
After US forces withdrew, the defense of South Vietnam was too weak.
Why?
People in South Vietnam was so desperate as people in North Vietnam about the reunification of Vietnam.
I wonder young people in South Korea are desperate toward the unification of Korea.

What happened after the Reunification of Vietnam
Everybody is happy after the reunification of Vietnam?
During the Vietnam war, USA and Vietnam are enemy, but now American cultures are winning the hearts and minds of the new generation of young Vietnamese.
Almost no one try to remember the old wounds.
During the war, many people died for their own ideals.

Cost of Korea unification is estimated as 500 Billion
The cost of Korea unification is 500 Billion Dolars.
After unification, North Korea's GDP will be increased from 1251 to 10,000 Dollars.
North Koreans will live better life after the unification of Korea.
The most important thing is that how North Korean people are convinced of this fact.
