The main purpose of the conference was to encourage Korean communities as well as many young people in Europe to look into the unification of Korea.

Former prime minister of Germany, Helmut Kohl emphasized that Korea should keep good relationships with neighboring countries for the unification of Korea. People in West Germany wanted freedom of people in East Germany. Unification does not bring freedom, but freedom brings unification.
